Time Management

No matter how much money we have, there’s one thing we can’t buy more of: time. We don’t think much of it, but time is our most valuable resource. Learning how to manage and make the most of our precious time gives us access to endless opportunities.

Audit Your Time. The first step we can take for better time management is seeing where we spend our time. With apps like screen time, we can see how much time we spend on certain activities and measure where we are. Once the data is clear, we can organize our time into other areas.

Plan Ahead. By creating to-do lists and keeping track of as much as possible on our calendar, we can see exactly where our time is going. This also helps us schedule in other things we want to make time for. By planning ahead, we put ourselves in control rather than letting someone or something else control our time.

Prioritize. We spend a lot of time on waste. If we really audit our time, we may see we spend too much time on social media and not on our business. We may see that we spend too much time going out and not enough time with our family. Only you can decide what’s important to you and determine how you want to fit that into your life.

Managing our time can be difficult at first because it may not be something we’re used to, but over time the benefits will show themselves. When we control our time, we control the narration of our lives. We create freedom and opportunities to fill our lives the way we want them to.

“Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.” – Zig Ziglar
