Passion is something we all strive for in our lives. It gives us a sense of purpose. Something to chase, to keep learning, and develop mastery. Passion doesn’t just give us happiness, it bleeds and spills over, bringing other people into the joy as well.

Taste. To first discover what we truly love, we need to test a bunch of areas. We need to figure out what we like and what we don’t like. This will enable us to find interests we can explore with more depth.

Build Interests. When we know what we like, we can discover those areas more. Maybe we really love fitness, cars, and music. Now we can focus on those specific interests and cultivate them as meaningful hobbies.

Fall in Love. Of the hobbies we’ve created for ourselves, there are going to be one or a few that really stand out. These are the hobbies we integrate into our lives and fall in love with. These are the things we become passionate about. Passion and monetization don’t necessarily need to go together, but if we become masters at our passions, that’s always a possibility.

Passions matter. They can be simple, yet make a huge difference in our lives. They’re the things that give us enjoyment and fulfillment. Even the smallest passion can make us feel more alive than ever.

“Enjoy the journey and try to get better every day. And don't lose the passion and the love for what you do.” -Nadia Comaneci
