Embracing Failure

There's a feeling each and every one of us has experience with. The feeling of being stuck. The feeling of facing obstacles and not finding a way through. The feeling of not seeing positive change in our lives. We all experience failure from time to time, but rather than focus on the negative, we'll see how failure is necessary to create beautiful change.

Embracing the lows. When we hit our lows, it's easy to feel like the victim and pity ourselves. The truth is, that will get us nowhere. Instead, we should understand that because we're at such a low point, there's so much room for growth. When we're at our lows, we're at our most liberated point. We're free to pivot, change, and adapt to find new opportunity.

Turning our limitations around. Sometimes we may feel like we're restricted. Maybe we don't have enough money or the right people around us. Regardless, it's our job to change the narrative. The story we tell ourselves is the story that unfolds. When we feel like we can do anything, we allow ourselves to become resourceful. We'll work with what we have and make our vision for the future happen despite the challenges we face.

Persistence. Failure is part of the process of success. Every successful person has failed more than the average person. The key is to fail quick and learn quicker, then keep going. Those who are resilient, in pursuit of what they really want, and confident in their abilities, are those who will make it to the end. Keep fighting, no matter how bad it may get. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Failure will come and go. It will forever be part of our lives. The best way to overcome failure is to face it head on and not let it drag us down. When we look at failure as a learning experience, we start to see the opportunity it give us for the future. Every challenge exists for a reason. Only you can decide what that reason is.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work." -Thomas Edison
